The Kendriya Vidyalaya No. 2 Agra Cantt. is situated entirely away from din and bustle of the city in a neat and clean serene atmosphere of cantonment area. The Vidyalaya came into existence in 1964. It is a defence sector school fully financed by the Ministry of Human Resource Development, Government of India. The Vidyalaya is established to cater to the educational needs of children of defence, BSF, CRPF, CISF and Para-military personnel including all India transferable central government employees. The Vidyalaya has classes from pre-primary to XII in both science and Commerce stream with a team of highly qualified, dedicated and experienced teachers. Computer education is being provided from classes I to XII. The vidyalaya has a rich library and well equipped laboratories in physics, chemistry, maths, biology and computer separately. Besides, Vidyalaya also has facility of separate junior science lab for primary and secondary students.

KVS has a four fold mission viz:-

To cater to the educational needs of children of transferable Central Government employees including defence and para military personnel by providing a common programme of education.
To pursue excellence and set the pace in the field of school education.
To initiate and promote experimentations and innovations in education in collaboration with other bodies like CBSE, NCERT, etc.
To develop the spirit of national integration and create a sense of “Indianness” among children.
